CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE 2 FAMILIES ... YOU HAVE BEAUTIES !!!!!!

Rebekah is home and doing well

My friends, John and Robin, are now home with Rebekah. She is doing well and adjusting well to having 2 brothers and a sister. Please pray that Rebekah continues to attach well to her new family. Pray that John and Robin have the patience to handle 4 kids !!!!!!!!!!!

Ava Update ... 6 weeks old (about)

Holly holding Ava. Holly finally got to hold Ava on Sunday, Jan 20, 2008. In
the pictures of her alone, she looks pretty good size, but when Holly holds her, you
can see just how tiny she is. In the photo below, she is has a pacifier.....
it is almost as big as she is !!!!

She's come a long way from those first photos I posted. She has gained a whole pound ... making her 2lbs 6oz. She is eating about 3 ounces of breast milk per day thru a feeding tube. She has had the "Patent Ductus" valve surgically closed in her heart. She was moved from UAMS to Ar Children's Hospital.

As of Tuesday, 1/29/08, she does have a little infection of somekind ... they are running labs to see exactly what it is, but she is on antibiotics, and doing well.

Ava temporarily extubated herself. She's quite a ham to be so fragile.

Around the 21st of January, she decided she didn't need her vent anymore

and somehow, managed to pull the tubes out. She did ok, however, she had

several apnea (forgetting to breathe) episodes, so she had to be put back on the vent

for a while longer.

Would you paparazzi please just leave me alone and let me sleep !!!!!!!

WORLD TIME

Well ... today has been an exciting day.

My friend Robyn and John are coming home with Rebekah ... they were scheduled to arrive at 9:50 pm.My friends Rich and Jane, and Shelley and Kevin, left this morning at 7:30 to bring home their daughters Kennedi and Megan.

I am a bit jealous, I must admit. As of tomorrow, it will be 17 months of waiting....with about that much longer to go. BUT ... as I've said before...my little girl isn't ready for me yet.
So ... amid mixed emotions ... I rejoice for my friends ... and these 3 BEAUTIFUL little girls who have found forever families.

WOO HOO ... Good till July 2009 ... is that long enough???

Well, I got my new i-171h in the mail today. It is good for 18 months...July 2009.
My fingerprints expires in April 2009. I just pray that is long enough. At least this update was free.

No new info to post. I'm sick ... have bronchitis.

Hmm... Say a pray for my friends...John and Robin will be returning from Guangzhou with their new daughter Rebekah on Thurs, Jan 17.

My friends Rich and Jane, and Shelley and Kevin will be LEAVING for Beijing on January 17th to meet their new daughters for the first time.

Please pray that these 3 families have a safe trip ... attach well ... and return home safely.

Thanks.

Thanks NEW Secret Pal !!!!

I received a package from my new secret pal this weekend. I was really surprised, I wasn't expecting anyting. Chopsticks ... a set for me and a set for Mari-Grace
This is a really neat children's book that explains what
is done on Chinese New Year. . . It even has pop ups.

This book explains how the zodiac calendar came to be.

I am in the year of the rat.

This little book is a book of craft and party ideas for Chinese New Year's.

UPDATE I-600a and i-171h and fingerprints

I had to go to Fort Smith today to update my i-600a (thank God I get 1 free update). This is the immigration paperwork that pre-approves me to adopt Mari-Grace from an immigration standpoint.

It is pretty cool ... once we go thru our Consulate appointment in Guangzhou, China, and get her travel visa, we will get a SEALED package of paperwork.

When we land in the USA, and go to the Citzenship and Immigration office at the airport, the immigration officer will open this packet.

If the seal is broken before this moment, all of the paperwork is invalidated.

Anyway, once the immigration officer approves this packet, Mari-Grace will be a US citizen.

It's Party Time

My New Year started out FABULOUS !!!!!

I had dinner with my friends Rich, Jane, Karyn and Whit on Sunday night.
On New Year's Eve, I attended a get together with friends.
On New Year's Day, I went to a party at Rich and Jane's house.

I have pictures I'll post, but since it is almost midnight, and I'm 2
days late posting on my diet blog ... I won't tonight.

You'll see that the new CCAA updates are posted on the right.
We now have referrals thru 12-19-2005.

IS 2005 EVER going to end ?????
I think I'll feel better when the CCAA at least makes it to 2006.
At this rate ... 2010 ... China ... Here I come !!!!!!!!!
