"FOOD-AHOLIC ENTERS DETOX PROGRAM"
Hi ... I'm Kammy, and I am addicted to food.
I'm not waiting until January 1 to make a NEW YEARS RESOLUTION.
I AM STARTING NOW !!
Geez ... since Thanksgiving, I feel like I have gained 500 pounds.
Go ahead ... stick a pin in me ... I'll pop ... and I must say that I think I'd feel better.
With all of the good treats around ... I said to heck with the diet ... enjoy the food.
BIG MISTAKE!!!!!
I feel gross.
I feel like my feet are constantly swollen from all of the soft drinks.
I have little sausages for toes and hot dogs for fingers.
I MUST SHRINK MY BUTT !!!!
I MUST FIT MY BUTT IN PLANE SEAT !!!!
I MUST CONQUER FEAR OF STAIR MACHINE AT GYM !!!
SO ... What am I gonna do about it????
First of all, I'm going to start a weigh loss blog for myself. If I make it public, I'll stick to it better because I NEED ACCOUNTABILITY.
Tonite, before bed... I mixed up 6 of my HMR shakes.
I can't use, "I don't have time to stop and mix them" as an excuse if they are prepared and in the refrigerator.
Since I can't stand the HMR food ... I'm going to do a minimum of 5 shakes a day.
I have an assortment ... 100 calorie shakes, 120 calorie shakes, and 180 calorie shakes ... so I will be consuming between 500 and 900 calories as a base calorie intake per day.
HMR preaches "MORE IS BETTER" ... well .. not when it is Cheese Balls, cookies, fudge, peanut brittle, dressing, ham, candied sweet potatoes, bread, potatoes, etc.
So, in addition to my 5 shakes per day, I will have 1 reasonable meal.
My freezer is stocked with Lean Cuisine and Weight Watchers dinners.
I have steamable frozen veggies.
I have soup.
I have ...pineapples ... oops those are a little fuzzy ... been in the fridge too long.
My point is ... I am going to get back on a healthy eating program.
As loyal supporters of me in my weight struggle, it is your responsibility to encourage me to eat right and exercise regularly.
As soon as I get the blog set up ... I'll post the site.
As for now ... it is bedtime.
Nighty Night. Wish me Luck !!!!

The Secret is Out !!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!! My secret pal decided not to continue the secret pal swap due to the L.O.N.G. wait. So as a result, she revealed her identity this month. I want to say thank you to TONYA LANE. She has done such a wonderful job coming up with creative gifts. They are always fantastic. Like the personalized piggy bank. I LOVE IT !!!!! And I can't wait to see Mari-Grace in the outfit. I'll miss the surprises from Tonya ... but ... that means I will get a new secret pal, since I chose to continue the program. New secret pal ... you'll have big shoes to fill.

Merry Christmas ... Third Day
Merry Christmas" by Third Day
There's a little girl trembling on a cold December morn
Crying for momma's arms
At an orphanage just outside a little China town
There the forgotten are
But half a world away I hang the stockings by the fire
And dream about the day when I can finally call you mine
It's Christmas time again but you're not home
Your family is here and yet you're somewhere else alone
And so tonight I pray that God will come and hold you in his arms
And tell you from my heart I wish you Merry Christmas
As I hang the tinsel on the tree and watch the twinkling lights
I'm warmed by the fire's glow
Outside the children tumble in a wonderland of white,
Make angels in the snow
But half a world away you try your best to fight the tears
And hope that heaven's angels come to carry you here
It's Christmas time again but you're not home
Your family is here and yet you're somewhere else alone
And so tonight I pray that God will come and hold you in his arms
And tell you from my heart I wish you Merry Christmas
Christmas is a time to celebrate the holy child
and we celebrate his perfect gift of love
He came to earth to give his life
and prepare a place for us so we could have a home with him above
It's Christmas time again and now you're home
Your family is here so you will never be alone
So tonight before you go to sleep,
I'll hold you in my arms
And I'll tell you from my heart,
and I'll tell you from my heart
I wish you Merry Christmas
Meet Ava Madison H.
She is doing remarkably well. If I understand correctly,
she is only on 30% oxygen now. Her pulse ox is up. The chest tube
is gone. Her heart rate and blood pressure are normal.
THANK YOU for your prayers. Ava will be in the hospital until
at least March 25, her due date. Please pray that she
continues to do well. It is such a relief that she has made it 7 days
and has had no major set backs. She is a very blessed little girl.
KEEP THE PRAYERS COMING !!!!!!!!!!1

Dear Santa
Dear Santa,
It occured to me today that I have not made my Christmas Wish List this year. I've been good.
So, here it goes.
My first wish is that itsy bitsy Ava continues to do well.
Ok .. now the more selfish wishes.
Santa I want a pair of 1 carat diamond earrings. I want a 7 day all inclusive trip to a resort in the carribean. I want a condo at the beach. I want 3 first class round-trip tickets to China (and 4 for the return). I want Mari-Grace in my stocking on Christmas morning.
Ok ... so I'd settle for Mari-Grace in my stocking for Christmas next year. I know you are busy Santa ... and it's a little late in the year for these wishes to come true ... but I'll give you until Christmas 08 to work on them. However ... can you put a word in with your boss that I really want Ava to continue doing well.
Thanks Santa.
See you Christmas Eve.

UPDATE On Ava
Well, as of today, Ava is still holding her own. She does have a tiny hole in her
lung, but that is to be expected since the lungs are so fragile. She has a NG (naso-gastric)
feeding tube, a vent tube (to help with breathing), and chest tubes to help keep her lungs
from collapsing.
All things considered ... she is doing well. Her pulse ox (the amount of oxygen in
her blood) went from 60% this morning to 87% tonite, this is good.
The dr's x-rayed her brain, and there is no sign of any bleeding. This is good ... that means her tiny little vessels haven't burst causing any damage.
Please continue to pray for Ava. She has a long road ahead of her. But with your prayers, and faith in God, all things are possible.

PRAYERS NEEDED ..... NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok... this is very important. If you are reading this, and you believe in a higher power ...
specifically GOD, then you can help. Please pray for my friends Scott and Holly. Holly was my pharmacy tech for several years. She got married in March 2007, and moved to Florida, where Scott is stationed with the Air Force. Holly and Scott came back to Arkansas last week for Scott's grandma's funeral. Holly was 24 weeks pregnant. She began bleeding and had to be put in the hospital. She's been in the hospital since Friday. She had to have a C-section today to deliver the baby because the Doctor's were unable to stop contractions, and the baby's heart rate dropped with each contraction.
Ava Madison arrived this afternoon about 3 pm weighing in at 1 lb 6 oz. She is very tiny. Her gestational age is 25 weeks....15 weeks early. As of this time, Holly is recovering well, and Ava is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Ava is stable, and doing as well as can be expected at this time. For the first 24 hours, Holly and Scott will not be able to see Ava. She'll be under strict isolation. If all goes well, Scott and Holly will be able to start visiting Ava after 24 hours.
Please pray that Holly and Scott have the strength and courage to face the journey that lies ahead. Please pray that Ava grows stronger each day and faces no major complications.
Also ... please pray for my sister Kelley. This has really hit her hard. On Dec 14, 2007, we will celebrate my nephew's 20th birthday. He was born at 28 weeks, and lived only 19 days. The Holidays are really difficult for my sister anyway ... and reliving this event now thru Holly is very difficult for her.
We are very thankful that Ava is a girl.... preemie girls tend to have a better survival rate than boys. Ava was also born on the "St Guadalupe" day ... she is the patron saint for unborn children. I'm not catholic, but Holly and her family are.
I reminded Kelley that many medical advances have been made in 20 years ... and that we can only have the faith that God will take care of this little baby. She is in his hands. As the Great Physician, God has the power to heal all hurts, and all wounds. He has the power to bring this baby thru this trying time in her life. God holds Ava in his hands. My prayer is that he guides her doctors and nurses to make the right decisions concerning her care. My prayer is that Holly and Scott have the strength and courage to make the right decisions and not second guess themselves.
I'll update as soon as I know more.

Dillon August 2006 DTC families
Ross and Erica H. (Little Rock, AR)
Laura, Brandon, and Alex F. (at airport for a FCC Homecoming)
Brandon (left) and Alex (right) F.It never ceases to amaze me how God blesses me in ways I never expect.
In my August -06 DTC group....there are 6 families total.
4 of those families are from the Central Arkansas area...the other 2 are from Oklahoma.
The families here in the central AR area have had the opportunity to meet, and become friends during this wait time. We rely on each other for support.
It is incredible that our girls will possibly come from the same orphanage, in the same city, in the same province, in a place across the world.
If all things continue as is...there is a very good chance that we may travel together, and receive our daughters at the very same time.
To think, our families will be forever linked by these little girls, and our girls will have the opportunity to grow up so close to each other.
God's timing is amazing. The wait stinks ... don't get me wrong, BUT during this time, I have had the opportunity to meet, and get to know 3 wonderful families. My friendship base is growing every day ... and I have developed some relationships with "Been There Done That" families that will last a lifetime.
WHAT A DAY
GEEZ ... this has been a crudy day. I helped with a Christmas Party yesterday ... managed to mess up my knee somehow ... don't know if it was climbing, standing on concrete, or what ....
anyway ... I was so tired last night ... I didn't rest, and my knee woke me up hurting several times.
Got up this morning and checked in at work. . . filled about 60 prescriptions in an hour ... and left. That helped Brit and Bill be caught up enough that the rest of the day might run smoothly.
Went by Mom and Dad's house ... almost fell asleep in chair.
Came home ... layed down on couch ... woke up 2 hours later...just felt like poop.
Ventured out to find dinner ... drove around NLR because nothing sounded good ... settled on mashed potatoes.
Then .. the topper on the day. I bought a new red shirt for the Christmas party ... wore it last night, then threw it back on today. All was good until my SPARE pair of glasses snapped in half in the middle. My regular glasses broke last week, so I took them to get repaired. Didn't get a chance to pick them up Thursday night or Friday ... place is closed Saturday.
I had a spare pair so no big deal...until they broke too !!!!!
Back to the new shirt .... I was trying to superglue my glasses back together and squirted superglue down the front of my brand new shirt !!!!! Needless to say ... the superglue hardened, fabric cracked ... now I have holes in my shirt .... and the Darn super glue wouldn't hold my frames together. I barely have them together with scotch tape... oh goodness ... the nerd in me emerges !!!!!!!!! MAYBE ... walmart will be able to make me a new pair tomorrow...since I had my last glasses prescription made there in JAN 07 ... lets hope my rx is still good and they can help on a SUNDAY !!!!!!!!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Ok ... since I can't see worth a flip out of these engineered glasses, I'm signing off.
Happy Day !!!!
