Let's up the freakiness one notch.

After I posted about Kelley's weird dream. I made my daily check of Rumor Queen.

RQ has reported that matching has begun in the match room at CCAA.
She has also reported rumors that this will be a large batch. (at least in relation to months past).

Let's keep our fingers crossed that these are good signs.

(REALITY CHECK ... I know that it is still best to hope for best and prep for worst...just posting so I can recall this weirdness ... I haven't lost my mind ... I promise !!!)

KelleyVision ...

My sister, Kelley, has this uncanny ability to "predict" things. It is almost as if she has premonitions. The premonition doesn't always reveal the exact details of what will happen, but there is enough info there that she can make strong correlations to certain events.

Ok .. let me just give you an example.
About 13 or 14 years ago, my great-uncle Acel was very sick. Kelley was awakened early in the morning to see a vast space of white nothingness. A small child's hand reached into the space, and took the hand of an older adult, then both disappeared. She vividly remembers looking at the clock. It was about 4:45 am. She remembers distinctly having the feeling that someone close to us had passed from living world into the heavenly world.

About 8 am that morning, Mom's cousin Jean called us to tell us that Uncle Acel had died. Ok .. so here is the creepy part. He died at 4:45 am.

This type of vision has occured 2 or 3 times, that she has told me about. Each time, the vision marked a significant event in our family, most of the time a death. The visions are accureate enough, that when Kelley calls to tell me or mom about them, we listen ... and we watch for the correlating event.

FAST FORWARD TO JANUARY 2009
I went to Mom's house for supper tonite. Kelley was there. She told me to sit down, she had something she needed to tell me. I immediately think .. OMG ... Someone is sick.

I got my soup, and sat down at the bar with her.
She said ... "Hey Kammy ... you know when I have those weird dreams ... well ... I need to tell you something."

I sat down, and at this point, my heart is racing a bit. I'm wondering what in the heck is going on.

Here is what she described.
Kelley awakened to see a vast white nothingness. In the middle of this nothingness, she saw it begin to move...as if being folded around something. The next thing she saw was a set of arms holding a bundle of white. In this bundle she could make out the features of a baby, with dark hair. The arms held the baby out, as if passing it from one person to another. Then it was gone.

At this point, I was in tears...and so was she. She said that the feeling that she got was very intense that this was not a heavenly being. She felt more a more human spirit. She felt a very strong connection to Christmas also.

Kelley says that the dream is one of two things.

1. God gave the gift of a child to someone. If this is the case ... here is what she is predicting.
My baby was conceived last night or early this morning. Counting 9 months, the baby would be delivered late September or Early October 2009. The baby would be referred in September 2010, and would be home by Christmas 2010.

2. The birthmother gave birth to my daughter. The wrapping her in a blanket and passing her from one place to another was the moment she was abandoned. We will get a referral when she is about 9 months old ... September 2009, and we will travel sometime in December 2009.

Woooooo WOOOOOO Woooooo

Freaky isn't it. I decided to blog it, so that I'd have it recorded. I know it is hokey ... but it will be interesting to see what happens

Why a real clutz shouldn't play in dumpsters !!!!

Yes .. this is my ankle.
On Friday, it was sunny ... and not FREEZING outside. At work, we threw away a slim book shelf. Somehow, it got wedged in the dumpster ... and was taking up a lot of room.

Being the genius I am ... I said ... "We can get it loose, we'll just climb in the dumpster." DUH ... it was wedged right under the door that we would use to clime in ... so that was out ... there was also about 2 inches of water in the bottom. YUCK !!!!

Dan, our pharmacy clerk, found a landscape timber. We managed to get the shelves busted loose ... no problem. After some banging and tugging and pulling, we got the shelf loose .... YEAH.

We decided we needed to break up the long pieces that caused the darn thing to get wedged in the first place.

Once again ... genius here ... decide to hold one end, and balance the other on the opening to the dumpster while Dan gave it a good whack with the landscape timber. He whacked it ok. The end I was holding bounced back and hit my left ankle. I had to work hard not to let out more than CRAPPIT !!!

Needless to say ... I have a terrible bruise on my ankle and it is very sore.

Well, let's make matters worse.
I stopped at Target on my way home from church today. I was strolling along at a pretty good clip when I stepped on a seam in the concrete right in front of the entrance. I twisted my left ankle ... and before I knew it, I was eating pavement. Yes, I fell flat of my face smack dab in front of the entrance to Target. My ankle let out a loud pop ... and all I could think of was I've broken my ankle and they are gonna have to call 911 to haul my big rear to the ER.

Luckily ... I didn't break it. After I sat there a minute ... I realized that that all that was hurt was my pride. My ankle is pretty stiff. It's a little swollen ... and sore. NOTHING BROKEN.

28 & 1/2 months

It has been 28 & 1/2 months since LID. On New Year's Eve, my friend Rich (who has 2 beautiful chinese daughters) looked at me, and out of the blue says ... "28 Months ... I'm impressed ... no breakdowns".

I have tried so hard to remain positive. I have tried so hard to be inspirational to others. I have not had any major breakdowns ... BUT ... it is getting harder.
I will admit that there are days that I don't want to talk about the adoption. There are days that I don't want my customers at the pharmacy to ask if I have heard anything. There are days that I want to SHOUT ... "YES ... I'M STILL WAITING and NO .... I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING!!!!"

I have worked at the same place for 18 years. I started as a clerk, worked thru college and pharmacy school, and then signed on full time as a pharmacist after graduation. I have been a pharmacist with this company for 12 &1/2 years. My customers have watched me go from a dorky high school senior to a well rounded, successful adult. I feel that they are a part of my extended family .... and many I have known since childhood thru church activities.

My customers at the pharmacy are so supportive. Everytime I go on vacation, they ask if I'm in China.
I really thought I'd have more customers that were hesitant to embrace a Chinese child, and me adopting as a single girl. I really thought that when I started the process, and told them what I was doing, I'd have more negative comments. The only negative comment I've had was from a 93 year old man who lived thru WWII and the negativity against asians that was experienced in this country at that time. Even he is supportive now.

Each time someone asks me about the process, and where things stand ... it amazes me that they all end with ... "I'm praying for your patience, and I'm praying that things hurry along."

THE SUPPORT OF MY CUSTOMERS AND STATEMENTS LIKE THAT ARE KEEPING ME FROM BREAKING DOWN!!!!!!!!

Do I have hard days ... yes. Sometimes I look in Mari-Grace's room and think .. how much longer will it be empty. Sometimes I look at her little clothes and think ... my these are just wasting away just sitting here, will she wear them soon ??? Sometimes holding one of my little buddies, I wonder how much longer my arms will be empty. Sometimes when I talk about the adoption, and how long I've waited and how long I have to wait, I tear up. Sometimes when I have an FCC event ... I think it's just too hard.

Christmas was really hard this year. Besides being sick, I couldn't help but wonder ... is this my last year without Mari-Grace ???
Each time a friend gets a referral, or comes home with their angel ... I admit ... I get a bit jealous.
BUT ... my friends let me love their babies.
There isn't a week that goes by that I don't see 2 or 3 or 4 of my little buddies. The girls are so inspiring.

I hear funny stories about Savannah and Anna-Marie, and laugh. I wonder what stories I'll tell about Mari-Grace.
Kaleigh B. calls me her buddy. She tells me she loves me and gives me hugs and kisses.
Maggie G. always has to hug me when she leaves or I leave. She wants me to play with her.
Kennedi G. runs to me to give hugs ... and knows that I'll let her do pretty much what she wants.
Susanna C. sings to me, and invites me to play play dough.

Every smile ... every hug ... every laugh ... every kiss ... every picture ... every piece of art reminds me that my wait is SOOOO WORTH IT !!!!!

This is how I'm getting thru it. LOTS OF PRAYERS .... LOTS OF HUGS AND KISSES .... LOTS OF SMILES.

Where to Stay in Branson

Ok ... someone commented on my blog ... and asked a good place to stay in Branson.

There are several good spots. I personally prefer the Super 8 on Green Mountain Dr ... there are actually 2 on Green Mtn. The one I prefer is on the end next to Walmart and the Andy Williams Theater.

I also like to stay at the Clarion on the 76 strip.

Super 8 is on the lower end of the price range ... Clarion is mid price.

The thing I really like in places I stay is indoor corridors. I just don't like motels with doors that open into parking areas or into walkways.

Both Super 8 and Clarion have indoor cooridors in Branson. Super 8 also has a continental breakfast.

Hope this helps.
