Saturday marked my 26th month of waiting. My doctor reminded me this week that my day will come ... and this wait is a sign that God is creating a child with me in mind. I say that all of the time ... but it was nice to hear it from someone outside of the adoption community.
Speaking of doctors ... I found out this week that I am showing some signs of early degenerative joint disease. When I fell in September, I really did a number on my hip. So after about 6 weeks of being VERY uncomfortable ... to the point it hurt to stand and I was having spasms in my lower back, I went to the doctor. Dr. Beth did an X-Ray to see if there was any obvious damage. It showed the degenerative joint issue. I ended up with a steroid/lidocaine shot in the hip joint. If it is not better by next Wednesday, I will be sent for an MRI.
Good news is ... my hip IS better. The last 2 days, I have been a little sore, but no spasms ... no significant pain.
Other than that ... life is good. I'm getting ready for our FCC Halloween Party and Winter Solstice Festival. It is amazing how fast things have rolled around. That's all for now.
