There isn't a lot going on in our world right now.
MG is doing great in preschool. Got the official ... no more diapers ... only pull-ups or panties notificiaton today. Miss stubborn is gonna have to cooperate with the potty training sometime ... soon !! So ... the diaper fairy visited the house tonite and took all of the diapers. We only have pull ups at home now.
We are going to Myrtle Beach for a week ... so not the best time to start transitioning to big girl panties. Hoping that she'll copy the 2 older girls that will be with us.
We did make progress in the pool this week. She decided monday night that it was OK to jump off the side of the pool and let me catch her. Needless to say .. that created a monster ... LOL. She started climbing out of the pool, looking at me and yelling " fee ma ma " and jumping ... what happpend to the one and two???
After that ... she decided to go down the waterslide. MG LOVED IT !!! She'd fly off the end of the slide with the biggest grin on her face.
I follow the no fear ... only respect policy. I want her to respect the water, and it's potential for danger ... but I don't want her to be afraid of it. I've been dunking her under since day one ... and she's trusting that MaMa will be right beside her. Monday night ... she was actually bobbing around and kicking her feet a bit. Hopefully, she'll be a fish by the end of next summer.
Her speech has really taken off since she started preschool. We still get a lot of babbling ... but we are also getting a lot more words. Her speech therapist has got her naming objects, and repeating phrases. They are about to begin working on actual pronunciations.
MG can also identify some letters of the alphabet. It's amazing what she has learned in 2 short months !!!
I'm sure I'll have some exciting beach stories to share soon.

No need for beach stories-this is pretty exciting stuff! Definitely a huge leap in trust with the pool (no pun intended). It must be wonderful to hear new words coming from her all the time, too. Best of luck with the diaper-free living.
