Fwd: April 29... Party at the Zoo

> Our zoo has the benefit of being able to host private parties. We had 8 little girls ranging in age from 2&1/2 to 7. We also had 13 adults. The volunteer docents at the zoo shared some educational animals. The kids got to touch a ferret, fantailed pigeon, and bearded lizard. They got to see a Chilean tarantula. The girls were pretty quiet, but enjoyed seeing the animals. After the animal encounter, the kids got to visit the giraffe then a train ride.

> We went back to the party room and opened presents. MG was overwhelmed, and wanted me to open all her gifts. We let Chloe help. She got a walmart gift card, a pair of flip flops with rhinestones, a pop the pig game, stickers, a rocket launcher, a bunny you can color and wash, a purse you can color, tea set, dry erase markers and an alphabet book, a video dance game.

> After we finished the official party, the families all got to enjoy the zoo. Kinleigh, Ady, Chloe, and MG all gave uncle Greg a run for his money. The girls fed fish, then lead uncle Greg to every animal. They had a great time playing.

> After the zoo, we ate at Cheddars then headed home. MG fell asleep at 6:30 and slept till 11:30. She was awake for about 2 hours then off to sleep again. The zoo provided party favors. MG got a backpack full of goodies. Sometime during the 2 hours she was awake, she ate all her candy. Lol.

> Today was back to normal. Tonite, however, she celebrated a bit more. She got a LaLa Loopsy playset and book and a purse with lip gloss ...all from herb friend Weiler across the street from Omaw. When we got hone, she had a box on the front porch with a giraffe puppet and an orangutan puppet from our Aunt Marilyn. I had the best time playing with her and those puppets. Then our neighbor brought over a birthdays card with $10 and more stickers.
