The earthquake in Port Au Prince, Haiti

Talk about devastation ... have you been following the devastation in Haiti.

This is not a well developed country to start with, and now, the people of this country have lost everything.

Please pray for their recovery. Please pray that support efforts are successful. Donate if you can !!!!

In your prayers, please remember the smallest of the victims ... the children who are in orphanages in the earthquake devastated areas.
It is truly survival of the fittest. Several of the orphanages have been robbed by armed men, looking for food, water, and medical supplies. The water supplies, designated for the orphanages, have been tapped.

The United States has lifted some regulations, allowing children who have been matched to adoptive families prior to the earthquake, to receive expedited entry into the country. These are children who's orphan status has been verified. Now, thanks to the earthquake, there will be many more orphans, who can not be verified quickly.

We often think of our emergency services being free from attack and damage ... this is a sad reminder that this is NOT the case. Hospitals are over-run with patients needing attention. Supplies are running out. Physicians are having to perform surgeries in the open ... with no anesthetic, and no cauterization tools. People are dying, and the sad thing is, even the best efforts can not save them.

If you can donate supplies ... please do so.
If you can donate money ...... please do so.
If you believe in the power of prayer .. now is the time to pray.

We live in one of the most blessed nations on earth. We are so lucky to have the resources that we have. We need to thank God each moment that we have a roof over our head, food in our bellies, and access to the finest medical care in the world.
We don't have to wonder where our next meal is coming from. We don't cry at night because our family members have been buried in the rubble of a building.
Our hearts don't have to hurt because the government has called off search efforts for survivors.

God is good ... even in times of devastation. Through us, he will provide for the needs of the Haitian people. Please help if you can.
